Ashington residents came together to demonstrate their frustration with the situation in the town center. The recently elected Conservative council had a manifesto pledge to reverse the decision, to move HQ from Morpeth to Ashington.
They put an immediate end, to already partially completed construction and left the site as is for 1 year… at significant financial cost. After months of maybes, soon, and we will see. The Residents banded together and launched a petition.

To mark an entire year of stagnation locals attended the site, now dubbed “The hole”
The aim was to demonstrate unhappiness with progress,transparancy, and future options.
